FIELD: production of ceramic materials. SUBSTANCE: the starting compounds include tin tetrachloride and alkaline-earth alkoxy alcoholate, they are reacted by addition of ammonia to adjust a pH to 9-10. The reaction mixture is thereafter cooled and hydrolyzed using 4 to 10 fold molar excees amount of a 0.1% ammonia solution. The resulting product is removed by filtration, dried and heat treated. EFFECT: more efficient preparation process.
