FIELD: environmental control. SUBSTANCE: device for gathering oil and oil products from water surface has chamber 1 with discharge throat 2 communicated with inlet 3 of separator 4. Separator top is communicated with atmosphere by means of branch pipe 5. Separator bottom part is communicated with receiving vessel of oil products. Chamber is installed on floating base 6. Lower part of chamber is perforated with holes to pass with oil products inside the chamber. Installed in the chamber above water level is gas header 10 with holes, each of which carries gas-jet ultrasonic radiator 12. Gas header is communicated with source of compressed gas supply. Perforations of chamber one wall are higher than level surface, but in this case, maximum size of perforations above level surface is less than the wave length of radiated ultrasound. Operation of ultrasonic radiator 12 intensifies dissipation of ultrasound in surface film of oil product resulting in oil product separation from water surface, its atomization into fine drops and taking away them with gas jets. Further on, in separator the oil products are separated from gas and fed to receiving vessel. EFFECT: increased efficiency of oil product gathering. 3 dwg
