FIELD: environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for the protection of the environment, in particular for the collection of oil and petroleum products in the purification of natural and artificial water bodies. Invention can be used in the process of post-treatment of emergency oil spills where a high final purity of the water surface is required. Acoustic device for collecting thin films of oil and oil products from the surface of the water contains a body, supported afloat by floats attached to the body by brackets, and accommodating a manifold with an inlet, a circulation pump connected by a flexible hose to a tank for collecting petroleum products, an ultrasonic generator feeding a system of ultrasonic radiators, immersed under the water surface and focusing acoustic energy in a circle near the inlet of the collector at the boundary of the oil-water layer. In contrast to the prototype, the proposed device provides: first, to maintain the edge of the inlet of the collector above the level of the boundary of oil with air, second, to use a system of emitters directed at such an angle to the surface, that in the mode of the fountain provides for the transfer of liquid through the outwardly projecting edge of the inlet, third, in the lower part of the reservoir it is necessary to create a hole or channel connecting the collector with the surrounding water environment, fourth, to provide pumping of the settled oil from the upper part of the oil collection cavity after the oil filling the reservoir capacity. These differences provide significant savings in energy costs due to the elimination of a whole phase from the collection of pollution – pumping a mixture of water with a small amount of petroleum products in containers away from the collection device of large capacity, where there should be sediment and oil separation. In addition, the operation of the device in the mode of oil accumulation in the collector is performed with a disconnected massive flexible hose. At the same time, the mobility of the swimming means of oil collection is significantly increased and it becomes possible to quickly move the device to localized places of accumulation of contaminants, that significantly increases the efficiency of collecting oil pollution in comparison with the prototype.
EFFECT: reduction of energy costs when collecting oil contamination from the surface of water and increasing the efficiency of collecting thin oil films.
