FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method involves smoothly changing in turn occluder transparency in automatic mode in the frequency range of 0.15-0.25 Hz so that one of them has maximum transparency when the other one is under condition of maximum darkening. The frequency of 0.25 Hz is set when looking at the objects from close distance, whereas 0.15-0.20 Hz is set when looking at the object from long distance. The device has means having variable transparency, head position gage and control unit. The means having variable transparence has two occluders left one and right one. Control unit has master oscillator of rectangular signals connected in series and having frequency ranges being 64 and 0.3-0.5 Hz and phase shifter with two paraphase outputs forming two channels each of which has rectangular signals converter with frequencies being 0.15-0.25 Hz transforming the signals into triangular ones, modulator and buffer amplifier. Each occluder is connected to the corresponding buffer amplifier. Control unit input is connected to power supply source through a stabilizer. The master oscillator can increase frequency from 0.3-0.4 Hz to 0.5 Hz on inclining head of patient. The occluders are manufactured based on liquid crystal matrixes of 15-30 cm2 area. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 6 cl, 3 dwg
