FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: emergency cooling system of reactor installation has reactor coupled by circulation pipe-lines to steam generators (one or several). Between steam volume and feeding pipe-line of each steam generator there is located emergency circuit composed of surface condenser submerged into tank with water, pipe-lines coupling condenser to steam (at inlet) and feeding (at outlet) pipe-lines of steam generator and emergency valve with passive controlling device. Each steam generator of system is fitted with additional emergency circuit incorporating bubbling device submerged into tank with water with fast-action pressure regulator at inlet and pipe-line coupling these devices to steam and feeding pipe-lines of steam generator. Tank with water is manufactured as one unit for both circuits and is divided into two compartments. Condenser is positioned in one compartment separated by partition with clearance by bottom of tank of other compartment. Uncontrolled throttle is mounted above compartment with condenser. Passive controlling device of emergency valve is equipped by servo drive with electromagnetic brake and is connected by means of warning lines to drain line of condenser upstream of valve and to feeding pipe-line of steam generator down stream of feeding pump. Water volume of tank is connected to drain line of condenser with pipe-line with auxiliary feeding pump and return valve in it.
