SURFACE HEAT EXCHANGER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2147102 C1

FIELD: heat supply systems or low pressure regenerative systems of steam turbines. SUBSTANCE: proposed heat exchanger is designed for heating water by condensation of steam and its overcooling. Condensate cooler tube bank of heat exchanger is arranged between two vertical partitions directing condensate or gas flow and installed over periphery of condensate cooler tube bank. Different diameter horizontal partitions are installed between vertical partitions. Holes made in partitions of maximum diameter at side of steam inlet branch pipe outside tube zone in tube bank are connected by vertical tubes with steam space of housing over box. EFFECT: provision of gradual control of heat capacity of condensate cooler with heater operating, enhanced reliability and increased economy. 2 dwg
