FIELD: airplane building. SUBSTANCE: machine has two clamping units 5,6, arranged at both sides of a former. Each clamping unit is joined with a stationary base 1 by drive units, providing for each end of the clamping units a possibility of motion in a plane, being normal relative to the clamping unit in its idle position, in a desired direction. The former is mounted on the base, connected with the table 2 os a stationary frame, placed at a level of ground. The machine has means 18, 19, 21 for vertically guiding mean portions of the clamping units. The clamping units are joined with their drive mechanisms in such a way, that they may not be rotated around a lengthwise axis relative to that mechanisms. EFFECT: enhanced serviceability of the machine at making members of fuselage, front edges of aircraft planes and so on. 6 cl, 8 dwg
