FIELD: removal of any irradiated tubular member of nuclear reactor, such as water-cooled tank of reactor. SUBSTANCE: method involves removal of coupling members between tubular component and concrete structure wherein it is placed and step-by-step vertical displacement of component along cavity axis followed by cutting component wall after each displacement above top level of cavity on height corresponding to single vertical displacement distance.
