FIELD: electrified transport. SUBSTANCE: middle part of pan frame upper strip made of high-conductivity material has convex, profile corresponding to dimensions of profile of contact member chute. Inner space of pad frame is connected with closed-type positive cooling system with motor-compressor and cooler. Design of current collector provides higher loading capacity when using carbon inserts, both in motion and at standing still, especially in summer. Use of current collector of offered design makes it possible to replace copper contact strips by carbon ones on DC electric locomotives. EFFECT: reduced wear of contact wires. 2 dwg
