FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: wheat grains are soaked in water at room temperature and held so for 5-12 days under a 15-18-h daily lighting of 30-50 klx. The grains germinate within this time. The resulting shoots are cut and placed into a dark chamber at 2-6 C for 3-7 days. Then, the shoots are dried, ground, poured over with water at the rate of 20 g of shoots per 1 l water and extracted for 16-18 h. The extract is boiled, the solid fraction is removed and the liquid fraction is used as a yeast growth promoter in the amount of 30 vol.-% The promoter increases yield of yeast by 141-155% EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 tbl
