FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: working fluid is evaporated and overheated inside the steam generator and supplied to the piston machine alternatively from different sides of the piston. The exhaust steam is partially condensed during the displacement stroke immediately inside the working chamber of the cylinder. The condensate in amount of the cyclic portion is heated by products of fuel combustion and is fed to the steam generator. The remainder steam is condensed in the condenser. In this case, the exhaust steam can be used for a refrigerator of, for instance, absorption-diffusion type. The steam is condensed inside the refrigerator and the condensate is cooled in cooling chamber and fed to the steam generator through the coil pipe in amount of the cyclic portion. The coil pipe is inserted in the flow of the combustion products. In so doing, the water vapor in the combustion products is condensed. The heat given off is used for heating the condensate flowing in the coil pipe. A portion of the fuel combustion heat and heat given off during regenerative braking of a vehicle serve for starting engine. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 12 cl, 1 dwg
