Abstract RU 2472023 C2

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: basic piston-type engine is equipped with converted steam cylinder(s) instead of gas one(s), from which power is transmitted to compound engine. Combustion products are cooled in gas cylinders owing to water spraying in inlet air and their evaporation during fuel burning. Steam for operation of steam cylinder(s) is generated in steam generator as a result of feed water heating with oil heat of lubrication system and combustion products. Water drops evaporating in cylinders during fuel burning decrease thermal factor of the engine, suppress detonation and allow increasing combustion degree of petroleum and gas (with forced ignition) of engines, as well as increasing the quantity of working medium. Waste steam in cylinder(s) is condensed in condenser together with water steams and hydrocarbon steams from combustion products due to their cooling with cold water spraying.

EFFECT: reduction of hazardous emissions as a result of reduction of decomposition of combustion products, condensation of hydrocarbon steams from combustion products, and owing to content in water drops of sprayed ammonia and burning of fuel at excess air factor of more than 1.
