FIELD: optical instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: objective has four components. The first one is positive meniscus, turned with its concavity to image. The second component is negative meniscus, which is turned with its concavity to subject. The third and the fourth components are positive menisci, which are turned with their concavities to subject and image correspondingly. The third component has focal power of 0.69-0.7 focal power of the objective. The second and the fourth components are made of material with index of refraction of 4.0 and higher. The third meniscus is made of material, which has index of refraction of 3.4 and more. EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation. 2 dwg
