FIELD: pressure controlling systems. SUBSTANCE: gas pressure controller has a pipeline, in which adjusting and closing piston organs, a pneumatic drive unit, a command setting device and an electropneumatic valve are arranged. The controller is characterized by a new feature, according to which the adjusting organ also serves as a closing unit, being a backup unit for the piston closing organ. The controller operates with use of a principle of keeping a balance of forces, created by a pressure action, had been formed by the command device, on the piston of the pneumatic drive at one side, and of elastic efforts at other side at controlling mode and upon simultaneous action of the pressure on the piston of the pneumatic drive and on the piston of the closing organ in a mode of closing of the gas manifold. The controller operates, performing two functions: controlling and maintaining an output pressure in predetermined range; closing the gas manifold by the piston of the closing organ and also by the controlling organ, being a shutter.
