FIELD: furniture engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has base frame with frontal and back supports. Seat is vertically movably mounted on the base. Means to change seat position in height has two guides formed by the chair back which is made elongated. Each guide has two members rigidly connected with each other, one of the members having pits. The seat has cross-bar connected with arm rests engageable in turn with one of pits. The second cross-bar is positioned in the back part of the seat being supportable by and slidably engageable with the frontal member of the guide. The chair has foot rest made in form of bent frame transformable into low seat. EFFECT: improved operation conditions. 3 cl, 5 dwg
