FIELD: processes of biological purification of water. SUBSTANCE: the original water containing difficulty oxidizable organic matter measured by the generalized Chem PC index (the concentration ranges from 20 to 3000 Chem PC mg/l or by concentration of specific compounds, e.g. chlorolignin 1 sulfate lignin, chlorophenol, products is passed though a layer or activated carbon and subjected to sorption on activated carbon whose surface is continuously regenerated with microorganisms secured thereon. After the water has passed through the layer of suspended weight, the water is aerated and then/with an ozone amount of 0.2 to 0.5 mg/l. This completed, the water is again fed under to layer of suspended weight therein it is subjected to sorption on activated carbon whose surface os continuously regenerated biologically. After the water has circulated many times and the concentration of difficultly oxidizable compounds has been reduced by 20 to 60% the purified water is removed from the installation. EFFECT: more efficient purification process. 1 tbl
