FIELD: growing of monocrystals. SUBSTANCE: electric drive comprises a rod rotating mechanism, electric motor connected with worm of the worm gear pair whose worm wheel is encompassed by the output shaft of the rod rotating mechanism, rod progressive movement mechanism comprising an electric motor, worm gear pair whose worm wheel functions simultaneously as the nut of a screw-and-nut pair. The motion screw of said pair transmits translational movement to the rod. The rod, the output shaft of the rod rotating mechanism and the motion screw of the rod progressive movement mechanism are three parts of a single nondetachable element. The electric drive incorporates a differential transmission mechanism. EFFECT: improved design. 3 dwg
