FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: device for treatment of fibrous material has system forming the flow of fibrous material made in form of forming trumpet and calender pair, material conveying means providing for vertical motion of fibrous material in zone of optical radiation source. The latter is made in form of two groups of gaseous-discharge lamps positioned on both sides of treated fibrous material and embraced by reflectors. System of protection and removal of products of thermochemical decomposition is made in form of circuit including pressure and suction branch pipes, blowing unit, cleaning filter and inert gas source.
