FIELD: training facilities. SUBSTANCE: receiver is used in assembly, which receiver is made in form of thin-wall soft envelope. The receiver is provided with unit, which permits to change properties of the envelope. To excite surging oscillations at compressor operation, cross-section area of the receiver is reduced gradually by means of restrictor. Pressure, increasing at the receiver, causes initiation of surging, accomplished with sharp drop in head step and emanation of part of air through inlet unit. Process of reverse air flow is accomplished with sound bang, and can be seen obviously at reduction in receiver's volume. Change in envelope elasticity allows to show effect of elements joined on the surging initiation moment, on frequency and amplitude of surging oscillations.
