FIELD: welding. SUBSTANCE: roller head of machine for roller resistance welding has stator 1 made in the form of current-conducting axle. Roller electrode manufactured in the form of rotor 2 is put on stator for rotation. Unit for current transfer is fabricated in the form of at least one conductive ring disc coaxial to stator and rotor. Discs 11 and 12 are made fast to rotor 2 and are mounted for relative sliding with regard to contact surfaces 18 and are spring-loaded against them. Contact surfaces can be made in rotor too. In this case discs are rigidly anchored on rotor. Part of disc not contacting rotor and stator can be made restoring. Disc as unit can be produced from elastic material. It can also be made sectional. In the latter case part of disc contacting contact surface of rotor or stator should be made in the form of contact ring anchored concentrically on main part of disc. Part of disc made fast to rotor or stator can be manufactured in the same way. EFFECT: simplified design of roller head with simultaneous growth of its reliability. 18 cl, 7 dwg
