FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotor 3 with carriage 4 is kinematically connected with housing 1 of device. Any required tool, for example chuck jaw or marker, cutter or any other tool for cutting or removing facets is rigidly fastened in carriage 4. Turning 7 is made in rotor 3. Its dimensions exceed outer diameter and length of carriage 4 with working tool, that allows to disengage carriage 4 from gaps 6 of rotor 3 on termination of the process of thread cutting without device dismantling. If it is necessary to continue the process of thread cutting, housing 1 with rotor 3 can be repeatedly shifted in axial direction along pipe relative to carriage 4 and can be again rigidly fastened on pipe, including the chosen intermediate position on strictly determined size of thread. Such actions allow to use less qualified staff to operate with proposed universal pipe-threading tool. Housing 1 has exterior 8 and interior 9 threaded parts to mount push nut 10 with toothed thread 11 which serves for fixating carriage and its reliable tightening with working tool to the pipe and for removing skewness. The two-sided brake of tool 12 is made toothed and is mounted on housing 1 for turning. The tooth or teeth are threaded on it for possible reliable two-sided contact with toothed thread 11 of push nut 10 and for keeping it from turning in any direction. The external right thread is used for cutting the right external and internal thread. The other push nut and the left internal thread are used for cutting the left external and internal thread. Reductor 13 is made multistep, for example with cylindrical and bevel gears. The required number of tappings for switching on torque source, for example, the handle of hand drive, electric drill or any other rotation drive, is on each or several steps of reductor 13 on the ends of gear shafts.
