FIELD: civil and industrial engineering. SUBSTANCE: device for step-by-step lowering of load has U-shaped frame one sides of which pairs of upper and lower sprockets are symmetrically mounted and rigidly secured in pairs on shafts. Chains with shelves for load secured on chains at constant pitch pass over sprockets. Device has also drive to provide vertical synchronous step-by-step movement of shelves. Drive is made in form of carriage installed for travel in vertical direction relative to frame, power cylinder with rod rigidly secured to carriage and frame, crossmember rigidly secured on carriage, upper and lower supports rigidly secured on crossmember and frame, respectively, stops hinge- connected to supports; some arms of stops are installed for engagement with shelves on outer strands of chains and other arms are installed for engagement with turning limiters rigidly secured on supports; device has upper and lower grips hinge-secured on frame and on upper supports, respectively. Upper grips are installed for engagement with stops of upper supports, and lower grips, with stops on lower supports to set the stops in inoperative position.
