DEVICE FOR WARMING UP RESIDUES OF OIL PRODUCTS IN TANK Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: transportation of oil products. SUBSTANCE: device for warming up residues of oil products in tank is fixed cylinder installed coaxially with tank which can be lifted from tank and lowered into tank. Mounted on cylinder for turning is housing with branch pipes bent in opposite directions and overall dimensions smaller than inner diameter of tank. Device has supports hinge-coupled with cylinder flanges at one side and furnished with skids at other side. Supports are connected by bridges in pairs. Housing is installed for turning in bearings formed by bearing races in housing at one side, and in bushings arranged in cylinder at other side. At side opposite to bearing races bushings are made conical, forming with inner cylindrical surface of housing, spaces accommodating seals. Ends of branch pipes are turned in one side relative to tank axis. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of heating and removing of residues of oil products from tank walls, economy of heat carrier, cut down time taken for cleaning. 3 dwg
