FIELD: plumbing equipment. SUBSTANCE: water cock has body with seat, inlet and outlet branch pipes, cover, spring- loaded rod connected with shut-off member having taper surface, unit for locking the rod in upper position made in form of two half-rings received by circular groove in the cover. One half- ring whose radius of inner surface is less than radius of rod is mounted for entering the circular groove under action of spring. Secured on outer surface of second half-ring is reset button for return of rod to initial position; radius of inner surface of this half-ring is more than radius of rod, that is why it is pushed out of circular groove of rod when button is depressed.
