FIELD: thermal engineering. SUBSTANCE: liquid film is supplied to heat-transfer surface while its vibrations are modulated by periodic interruption of liquid flow at a rate of f/fo= (0,6-1,7), where f is frequency of modulated disturbances; fo is inherent frequency of liquid film vibrations. Device for modulating liquid flow vibrations has cylindrical case connected to piping and provided with inlet and outlet connections and hollow rotor arranged on case axis; rotor has inlet and outlet pipe connections and through holes on side wall whose sectional area makes up 1.5-2.5 of piping cross-sectional area and piping diameter is 0.5 of that of rotor. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 2 cl, 4 dwg
