FIELD: knitting. SUBSTANCE: double-layer weft knitted fabric consists of loop wales including plain knit loops located on both sides of knitted fabric and tuck knit loops and has additional loop wales. Additional loop wales include plain knit loops with elongated draws. One of draws of each face loop of additional wale forms tuck cast on reverse tuck loop, at least, through every other loop wale, and the other draw connects loop with face loop of the same additional wale and laid through every other loop wale. One of draws of each reverse side loop of the other additional wale connects it with reverse side loop through every other loop wale, and the other forms additional tuck cast face tuck loop, at least, through every other loop wale. In this case, loops with two casts of face side of knit are located in staggered manner relative to loops of plain knit, and loops with one cast of reverse side of knit are located through every other loop wale and through every other two loop wales relative to loops of plain knit. EFFECT: increased stretchability and thickness of knitted fabric. 1 dwg
