FIELD: devices for magnetic recording. SUBSTANCE: control unit drum is designed as two coaxial disks, which have same size and are connected to one another through gear. One disk has teeth and spiral cam. Another disk has pits of different depth. Depth of pits determines length of free motion of final-control levers and head circuit board. Second disk also has gauge for angle of switching unit turn. Final-control levers are positioned along periphery of control unit drum. Contact surfaces of final-control levers can engage with both disks of control unit drum. Electromagnet for control is connected to control lever through slider. Control lever is mounted for connection of gear wheel of drum to gear wheel of driving shaft when mode is switched. Device provides possibility of different modes, such as pause in recording, different types of speed search, including programmed sequences, while it contains single electric motor and single electromagnet. EFFECT: simplified design, decreased size, increased functional capabilities. 9 dwg
