FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: scrubbing furnace gases is carried out by washing at pH 7.5-10.0 with suspension obtained at repulping slime in water - waste of sodium sulfide production from the stage of its washing - and treated preliminary with iron sulfate. Suspension is prepared at the mass ratio water:slime at the range 4-9:1, preferably, at 5.6:1. EFFECT: enhanced scrubbing, decreased consumption of reagents, enhanced safety of process.
