FIELD: analysis of materials, namely investigations and express-testing rheology of dispersed and composition systems, being in viscous-flow state. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes a base, supporting a thermic chamber, having a heatable vessel for a system, being investigated, and a column. A vertical rod is mounted over the vessel with possibility of vertical motion by an action of a loading assembly. A probe is secured to one of the rod. Another end of the rod is mechanically joined with a pickup of detecting motion of the rod. The pickup is provided by a mechanism for it autonomous motion in a vertical plane. The loading assembly is in the form a body, having a constant mass and mounted on a platform, secured to the rod, and flexible members, whose one ends may be joined with the rod and whose other ends are secured to an additional mechanism for autonomous motion. The method comprises steps of deforming the system, being investigated, with use of loaded body, having the constant mass, and the flexible members; measuring a value of motion of the rod and a value of deformation degree of the flexible members, calculating the rheological characteristics with use of values, had been received.
