FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of investigation of rheological properties of highly filled polymer composition, namely to method for determination of yield point by means of sample spreading between parallel plates during load application, including non-solidified mass of mix solid propellant. Cylindrical sample is shaped of polymer composition in mould that represents heat chamber, its pushing to the surface, at that upper plane of heat chamber and plane of pushing stem perform function of lower working plate. Upper working plate is movable, and after its contact to sample pressed out to lower plate surface is loaded by permanent load, under effect of which sample is deformed. After sample achieves balanced deformed condition, sample height is measured with the help of displacement indicator that fixes motion of upper movable plate. Produced results (sample height, applied load) are used to calculate yield point of investigated composition.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of yield point definition in broad temperature range.
