FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method of making blanks, cutting tools comprises steps of placing high-speed steel powder into a container of low-carbon steel; subjecting the container to vacuumizing and sealing; heating it up to 1150 C and pitch rolling of it (rolling-forging it) with elongation factor, equal to 7-9; annealing the blanks, removing the container by turning, grinding surface of the blanks; then measure cutting of them, heating the measured-length blanks in an inductor up to a temperature, being by (10-60)C lower, than a temperature of phase conversions, and extruding them for receiving a necessary profile of a cutting part of a tool.
