FIELD: gas-flame cutting of materials. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a rectifier, an electrolyzer, units for preparing gaseous mixture and a burner. The electrolyzer is in the form of a metallic housing, on an inner surface of which a shell, made of current non-conductive material, is arranged. In one variant of the invention the shell is in the form of spirally bent fluoroplast film. Electrode plates, having holes for gas output and for passing of electrolyte, are arranged across the housing of the electrolyzer. Thin-wall gaskets, for example from fluoroplast, arranged between the electrodes, have contour, following the contour the inner surface of the housing. The electrode plates may have one cutout in their upper or lower part, or they may have two cutouts in their upper and lower parts. At such cases openings for gas output and for electrolyte passing will be restricted by the inner surface of the shell and by these cutouts, and the gaskets will have opened contour. The housing of the electrolyzer is mounted with an inclination relative to horizon by angle, being no more, than 15 degrees. A washer and a radial supporting member are mounted on one end of the housing of the electrode, having a stem, is mounted inside of the housing. A sealing member in the form of a shaped casing, made of chemically stable plastics material, is mounted between the terminal electrode, the housing, the radial supporting member and the insulation liner.
