FIELD: manufacture of articles from mineral fiber. SUBSTANCE: mat from mineral fiber is formed by blowing the melt jet by energy carrier and laying of fiber onto receiving conveyer. In so doing, air flow is supplied into jet hollow of energy carrier prior to introduction of it into sedimentation chamber. During laying of fiber, coolant is supplied inside the mat. For this purpose, front parts of receiving and compacting conveyers in sedimentation chamber are arranged at an angle of 60-90 deg. relative to each other and furnished with slot nozzles to supply coolant. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
