FIELD: flaw detection. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at manufacture of sample with artificial flaw on widely used metal cutting machine tool checked with the use of simple measuring means (protractor, slide calipers). Sample models natural flaws of flat type by character of reflection of ultrasound, has dimensional parameters of compact defect (limited in space with regard to beam of ultrasonic rays), is adaptable to manufacture. Sample presents solid (for instance metal body having at least one flat or cylindrical face, its other face has two grooves. Axial line of bottom of one of them is perpendicular or parallel to one of surfaces of sample. Second groove crosses first one. Depth of second groove is bigger than that of first one. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of ultrasonic testing. 5 dwg
