FIELD: tea processing industry. SUBSTANCE: leaves or roots of Bergenia are treated within 5-15 min at 80-100 C and under pressure 0.1-0.15 MPa. The process is followed by drying. Thus treated raw materials are ground and heated within 10-20 min at 90-105 C. Then extraction by water within 20-40 min is carried out, ratio of raw materials and water being 1:2-1:3. Said process takes place at 70-90 C and under pressure 0.072-0.095 MPa and it is followed by filtration. Then extract is mixed with granulated sugar or sugar powder at ratio 1:4-1:6 and is heated within 15-25 min at 85-100 C. EFFECT: improves efficiency of method.
