FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: engine-and-propeller system has two liquid-piston engines with evaporators, steam-and-liquid passages, coolers and delivery and suction pipes filled with working fluid, jet converters with water-jet passages fitted with intake and delivery branch pipes. Delivery and suction pipes of each plant are connected to water-jet pipe. Engine evaporators are interconnected forming combustion chamber. Mounted hermetically in each delivery and suction pipe is flexible partition separating the working fluid from sea water being pumped; each engine is provided with bypass passage fitted with check valve which shuts off passage during working stroke. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 5 cl, 4 dwg
