FIELD: aeronautical engineering. SUBSTANCE: shock absorber of flying vehicle landing gear has cylinder 1 with upper bearing 2 and lower bearing 3, rod 4 with bearing 5 in upper portion, sleeve 9 with charging tube of expansion chamber arranged in rod forming circular chamber and secured in cylinder 1. Floating piston 10 is arranged in sleeve 9; diaphragm 11 is arranged in lower portion of sleeve 9; this diaphragm is engageable with floating piston 10 by its upper portion; upper portion of diaphragm 11 is provided with slots; mounted in circular chamber is bush 12 secured on sleeve and provided with throttling holes 13 of recovery and impact strokes, as well as with holes and circular bores which bring its interior in communication with interior of sleeve through holes made in the sleeve; these relative to rod 4; cylinder is provided with respective hole receiving breather 8; fitted in lower portion of rod 4 is provided with bearing band and is held in rod with nut against axial motion or with key or radial bolted joint against rotation relative to rod. Method of filling the hydraulic chamber of flying vehicle landing gear shock absorber consists in relieving the pressure from gas chambers, pouring the fluid and subsequent restoration of pressure; first, pressure is relieved from compression chamber and then from expansion chamber, after which breather is removed, filler plug 7 is screwed off and pressure of gas is delivered to expansion chamber; this done, fluid is poured into chamber through filler plug 7; after filling the chamber, filler plug 7 is fitted in place. EFFECT: reduction of mass and overall dimensions; limitation of peak loads; enhanced reliability; avoidance of air cavities in hydraulic chamber and high safety in operation. 4 cl, 1 dwg
