FIELD: polarization-optical systems; laser radiation modulators. SUBSTANCE: polarizer has two prisms- wedges made of signle-axis crystal. Optical axis of crystal is oriented in parallel in the first one and in perpendicular in the second one to their main cross-section abd connected to meet their verteces without air space into double prism. Wedges are used with different but small angles where main polarization beam is rfracted at output face of the second wedge at an angle close or equal to Bruster angle. Angle of the first wedge is random within specific limits and angle of the second wedge is related with angle of the first one by specific relation. Light polarizer may be provided with additional flat-parallel plate mounted in front of its sloped input face at inclination to opposite side at corresponding Bruster angle. Plate has thickness necessary for compensation of parallel shift of beams said. EFFECT: improved precision. 12 cl, 5 dwg
