FIELD: apparatus for trimming rubber hoses. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for trimming a rubber hose with a metallic sheath includes a frame with a sleeve, in an opening of which mutually joined a fork and a joint chuck with knives are arranged. A clamping device for fixing the rubber hose relative to the frame is mounted in the frame on the same axle as the above mentioned fork and chuck. The joint chuck has two semicylinders, that may be brought apart. The knife in the form of the semicylinder or a portion of the semicylinder with a bottom, being in the form of an inner cone, has one arched cutting edge and 3-6 radial cutting edges. Between the radial cutting edges windows are provided. The rubber hose is being introduced to the joint chuck, to the fork of which an effort is being applied for forcing the chuck to be introduced in the opening of the sleeve. At this operation the semicylinders of the chuck are being brought together, the knives cut in to the rubber of the hose for trimming a layer of the rubber from a part of the hose, had been inserted to the chuck.
