FIELD: food-processing industry, in particular, preparing of fried or crunchy potato. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frying bath with heating members, conveyor defined by two parallel chains with drive, food product carriers formed as baskets. Levers with vertical recesses are positioned in equally spaced relation on chain members of conveyor perpendicular to tangents. Each basket has suspensions with rollers mounted on shaft. Suspensions are fixed on basket side surfaces. Guides are mounted in parallel with conveyor chains. Parts of guides positioned above frying bath are positioned below parts of guides extending beyond frying bath in vertical plane. Basket rollers are mounted within guides, roller shafts are received within lever recesses and frying bath outlet end is provided with chute inclined toward inner cavity of bath.
