FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: bisphenol-A is synthesized by phenol and acetone condensation in the presence of acidic catalyst and addition of the formula I given in description text where m = 0 or 1; n = 0 or 1; p = 0 or 1; R1, R2 and R3 are identical or different and mean hydrogen atom, alkyl C1-C4-radical and a residue of the formula I given in description text is a residue chloromethylated resin containing 6 wt.-% or more divinylbenzene. Addition is added to the reaction mixture at such amount that the ratio of substituent of the formula II to acetone would be 0.1-3. Benzenesulfoacid is used preferably as an acidic catalyst. Alkylated phenols, in part, bis-phenol-A is used in oxide resins and polycarbonates production. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 5 cl, 1 dwg, 7 tbl
