FIELD: devices for setting and packing of needles in card clothing base. SUBSTANCE: machine uses a drive, vibrating bin, mechanisms for orientation and piecemeal discharge of needles, head for needle packing with a packing cam installed on a carriage with stops, carriage engaging mechanism reversing gear and step feed mechanism, needle fillet base longitudinal feed mechanism. The camshaft of the cardclothing base longitudinal feed mechanism is provided with an electromagnetic clutch with a limit switch and positioning error compensation cam, and the drive of the carriage reversing gear has two electromagnetic clutches controlled by the limit switches that are engageable with the carriage stops.
