FIELD: equipment of textile industry, in particular, devices for packing of needles in card clothing base. SUBSTANCE: machine uses a vibratory bin, needle orientation mechanism, needle packing with a packing cam, carriage, carriage step feed mechanism and drive. Innovation is in the fact that the automatic machine uses a carriage reversing gear and needle fillet base longitudinal feed mechanism, which is coupled to the drive on one side, and to the carriage reversing gear on the other side through a ratchet gear; the needle packing head is installed ob the carriage provided with adjustable stops. The needle fillet base longitudinal feed mechanism is made in the form of two shafts: the drive shaft and camshaft connected to the machine drive through the engaging mechanism, it is provided with a catch and movable stop installed on the camshaft and engageable with the carriage adjustable stops. The catch is made as a fixed cam with seats and a spring-loaded roller installed on a guide coupled to the camshaft for engagement with the cam seats; besides, the camshaft carries a movable stop that is engageable with the carriage adjustable stops. The carriage engaging mechanism consists of two shafts carrying a gear cluster; the output shaft made as a screw mounts the carriage, and the input shaft carries the reversing gear change-over switch and movable stop that is engageable with the carriage adjustable stops. The carriage step feed mechanism is made as a ratchet gear. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 4 dwg
