FIELD: nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: heat element housing contains fuel core, which has fission phase which contains alloy particles from U(Al, Si)3 or UAl3, and crystal silicon phase, which volume is in range from 3 to 30 % of active part of heat element volume. Crystal silicon phase is inserted in heat element as particles and/or coating for fission phase particles, and/or as separate phase using metal alloy which contains aluminum. In addition to uranium-aluminum alloys and crystal silicon phase, fuel core may also contain particles of diluent and/or depleting absorbent. Metal contact between housing and fuel core is achieved by impregnation of volume inside housing, which is filled with compounds of fuel core, by aluminum alloy.
