FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting skin, subcutaneous fat and broad femoral fascia along the external side of the femur from the apex of the greater trochanter downward making a 14-16 cm long cut. Intertrochanteric and subtrochanteric zones of the femur are accessed subperiosteally. Its osteotomy is carried out in turn over and under the lesser trochanter in perpendicular to the vertical axis of the femur. The so obtained segment is rotated about the vertical axis and displaced towards inside until the lesser trochanter thrusts against pelvic bones. The adjusted position of the bone fragments is fixed with compression plate. EFFECT: retained initial length of the lower extremity.
