FIELD: lock production. SUBSTANCE: locking mechanism for a lock has a case, rotary barrel with spring loaded pins placed inside (ends of the pins are put into slots of the case), and pressure key. Locking pins have lengthwise recesses with support areas. The mechanism has central sleeve installed in central drilling of the case, with end of the case interacting to support areas of locking pins. Pressure key is made in the form of a rod with lengthwise recesses interacting to the appropriate support areas of locking pins. The mechanism has also lid installed on back end of the rotary barrel. Slots are originated in the lid placed opposite locking pins. Total length of recess in each locking pin and length of the appropriate recess of the pressure key are equal.
