FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: voltage changer has two input and three output terminals, three inductance coils wound on common core, two capacitors, and resistor. In addition, voltage changer may be provided with three selector switches. Two inductance coils have common point of connection with first input terminal. Second input terminal is connected to first capacitor and third inductance coil whose second lead is connected to third output terminal (load phase C). Second lead of first capacitor is connected to second output terminal (load phase B) and resistor whose second lead is connected to second lead of second coil. Second lead of first inductance coil is connected to second capacitor whose second lead is connected to first output terminal (load phase A). Proposed connection between inductance coils, resistor, and capacitors provides for reducing input current during motor starting and overload while maintaining balanced three-phase voltage across output terminals of voltage changer. EFFECT: improved reliability and overload capacity of voltage changer during motor starting and overloading due to reduction of its input current and imparting capacitive character to it thereby stabilizizing self-excitation of off-line power generator. 14 cl, 2 dwg
