FIELD: quantum physics; development of quantum frequency standards around atomic beams, primary hydrogen and alkali metals *cesium and rubidium). SUBSTANCE: for producing frequency standard possessing utmost stability and reproducibility of standard frequency <wo,o> of superthin O-O junction with reduced consumption of working material and improved life expectancy, moving-atoms beam is subjected to the action of additional third field within excitation regions; this field is built up of delta-shaped magnetic video pulses of td duration shorter than one fourth of standard O-O junction period (td is one fourth shorter than To,o) applied by means of introduced inductors and controlled source of current delta-pulses. Frequency standard affords homogeneous and full-scale continuous phasing of whole pile of atoms simultaneously at cavity inlet regions (Ramsey region, for example) within excitation zone which increases signal amplitude and narrows resonance line by more than order of magnitude. EFFECT: improved stability and reproductively of standard frequency, increased signal amplitude and reduced resonance line. 2 dwg
