SUBSTANCE: absorption cell has an evacuated closed glass envelope filled with rubidium 87Rb vapour, the inner surface of which is coated with an anti-relaxation coating of tetracontane. There is also a buffer gas - nitrogen or neon - inside the cell. Nitrogen pressure ranges from 3 to 4 mm Hg and neon pressure ranges from 12 to 17 mm Hg.
EFFECT: providing weak temperature dependence of the frequency of the operating atomic transition while maintaining a narrow spectral line and low frequency drift of the operating atomic transition.
