FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: piston has head with grooves for piston rings and skirt. Openings 6 for the piston pin are made in bosses 5 of the skirt. Female and male surfaces of conjugated lugs of the head and bosses of the skirt are made up as linear guides that lock the head and skirt of the piston against mutual displacement along the piston axis. The head lug has space 8 that is open from the side of boss 5 of the piston. Space 8 is in communication with groove 10 for an oil removing ring through openings 9 and openings 11 made in bosses 5 with openings for the piston pin. EFFECT: decreased piston weight.
